Before & After

More Information

What is Botox®?
Botox® is natural purified protein, an injectable substance that is a medical approved form of the botulinum toxin A. Botox® has been used for years to treat muscle spasms, and has recently come into favour for creating a more youthful rested look.
How does it work?
A muscle relaxant is injected directly into the wrinkles, temporarily relaxing the facial muscles and preventing the formation of wrinkles and softening existing lines. In very low doses it relaxes the overactive muscles by blocking the nerve impulses that trigger wrinkle-causing muscle contractions. Treatment is simple and non-surgical and smoothes the deep persistent skin lines that have developed over time. This treatment has been used on over 1 million patients worldwide for almost 20 years and is supported by a wealth of long-term safety data.
When will you see its effects?
It usually takes between 48 hours and five days to see the result. The greatest effect is seen at 1-3 weeks.
How long will it last?
The treatment generally lasts between 3-4 months (this varies from patient to patient depending how animated one's facial features are).
Is Botox® safe?
Botox® is probably the safest and most widely researched cosmetic product available today. It has been approved by the FDA for cosmetic use.
Is it painful?
Discomfort is minimal and brief and generally pain free. Prior to injecting, your practitioner may choose to numb the area with a cold pack or anaesthetic cream.
Where does it work?
• Crows Feet
• Horizontal Forehead lines
• Vertical lines between the brow
• Dimple chin
• Preventing excessive sweating in underarms
What does a Botox® treatment involve?
To assess your muscle movement you will be asked to frown or smile. This will determine where to administer the injections to achieve the best results. Several tiny injections will be administered directly into the muscles; these can feel like an insect bite although some clients feel no discomfort at all.
What would happen to my lines if I do not continue with the treatments?
Lines will gradually revert to their pre-treatment appearance. Botox® is not permanent and may have to be repeated for ongoing and optimal results.

We have all been informed that the secret to beautiful skin starts with a healthy diet, regular exercise and a balanced lifestyle. However, the inevitable effects of ageing combined with the additional factors of sun exposure, smoking, poor diet and stress all take their toll and eventually leave their mark which we all know as wrinkles.
What is aging?
It is a natural process which leads to the relaxation of the epidermis, causing diminished capacity of cellular production of Collagen and Hyaluronic Acid. Hence the face losing its contours, the neck wrinkles become deep and skin on hands tends to become thinner. Deep wrinkles such as frown lines between the eyes, forehead lines and crow's feet are also caused by overactive muscle movement which gradually erode the collagen in the skin, causing the skin to crease and wrinkles to appear.
